CARS is a non-profit organization that assists needy households with automotive maintenance and repairs through volunteers. We want to make sure that your vehicle is properly maintained (oil changes, etc.) and safe to drive (brakes, lights, etc.).

If you can afford to repair and maintain your own vehicle — please do not ask us to work on your vehicle. The CARS ministry only works on vehicles for folks who can not afford to take their vehicle to a regular garage.

One of our volunteers will call you back within a few evenings or on the weekend to get more information and schedule an initial visit to the CARS garage.

Please note: CARS customers are required to pay for oil, fluids, and parts.

The CARS garage is located behind Wingham Super Storage at 405 Josephine Street. Drive around behind the main building and look for door 405-E.

CARS pays its overhead expenses (heat, hydro, rent, insurance, tools, supplies, etc.) through generous supporters who donate their used vehicles to the CARS ministry.

Depending on the condition of the donated used vehicle, it will be:
a) Sold for scrap metal, or b) Repaired, safety checked, and sold.

If you have a used vehicle that you are willing to donate to the CARS ministry we would greatly appreciate receiving it. Our volunteers will arrange to pick up your vehicle, even if it isn’t in running condition.

CARS is a volunteer driven organization. We are thankful to our volunteers… without them the CARS ministry would cease to exist.

CARS is an opportunity for those who enjoy working on vehicles, or want to learn how to maintain and repair vehicles, to get together and serve those in their community who need help with vehicle repairs and maintenance.

We are always looking for new volunteers. Currently we operate one evening a week.
